Totara Haumaru

Client: Hawkins – Totara Haumaru

Te Whatu Ora—Health New Zealand, in collaboration with Hawkins Construction, has completed significant capital works at the North Shore Hospital campus. The highlight of this project is the new four-storey hospital building, Tōtara Haumaru, situated next to the existing Elective Surgery Centre.

The new facility features an Operating Unit with eight theatres, an Endoscopy Unit with four procedure rooms, and five 30-bed inpatient wards, providing a total of 150 beds. Greenmount Interiors played a crucial role by supplying a majority of the joinery pieces. These include nurse stations featuring curved solid surface acrylics, various types of medical service panels, joinery for service rooms, solid timber feature divides, and feature wall paneling throughout the entrances.
